Birth Worker Debriefing

Hi, I’m Emma.

I provide holistic birth debriefing and postnatal emotional support services for mothers, helping them navigate and process their birth or postnatal period.

Through personalised sessions, I create a safe and empathetic space for mothers to express their emotions, reflect on their birth or motherhood journey, and address any unresolved feelings or concerns.

By offering a holistic approach, I consider not only the physical aspects of childbirth and the postpartum period but also the emotional, psychological, cultural, systemic and spiritual aspects. My aim is to empower mothers by promoting healing, understanding and acceptance, and gaining confidence to move forward in their motherhood journey.

I have worked as a nurse and a midwife in the healthcare industry for 13 years and I have seen (and experienced myself) time and time again, how little support there is for women during this deeply important time in a woman’s life - matrescence (what is matrescence you ask?). This is why I do what I do.

I’m so glad you’re here!

What others have said..

“I can’t believe how relieved I feel already. In fact, I actually caught myself the other day feeling excited about the prospect of another birth! The brain really is magical. I truly didn’t think that was possible and assumed that at best I would just feel sort of neutral about it when the time came.”

- Chloe, NZ.
